Our family at the wedding

Our children and grandchildren all attended Jenna's wedding. A perfect opportunity for photos.
Michelyn and Derek, cute and cozy.
Randy, Staci and Siena,16 months.

Sorry Nicole, I couldn't resist posting this photo.

It makes me laugh and shows it isn't easy to pose with a 2 and 4 year old.

Jenna's wedding

We attended our niece, Jenna's, wedding in Fullerton on July 20. The wedding was beautiful and so was Jenna! Jenna and Brent met several years ago while working at Disneyland.
Hybiscus from my garden made the top of the arbor.

Birthday

I blew out the candles (thankfully not 61 of them!!!) with cards and flowers for my birthday. The thing I like about birthdays is being able to celebrate them with family and frineds for the month surrounding the date.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to me...
Nicole and family gave me this very cute bird bath/feeder. The perfect size for the children's garden. Aubrey and Garrett helped me place it and fill it with Thistle seed for the finches. And I can see it from my kitchen window.

July 4th weekend

We took off to the Cabin in Big Bear for the July 4th holiday. Took this photo sitting on the side deck having coffee in the morning. You can see the green eves of the cabin. This photo does not show the beautiful contrast of the green trees and blue sky as I saw it but use your imagination.

July 4th activities

This young Robin spent time in the tree in front of the cabin. Also enjoyed a hummingbird at our new feeder, squirrels, chipmunks, Stellar Jays and the cute little Nuthatch zipping up and down the trees.
We parked along the road to watch fireworks along with many other cars. Well, the fireworks were exactly behind the trees! We'll know where not to park next time.
Always have a couple of projects to do while at the Cabin. Mike refinished the top of our 'new' kitchen table. It is beautiful.
Also, the vinyl tiles behind the stove have been falling down so we removed them. Then, went shopping at the local hardware store for new tile, vinyl or wood for behind the stove. They had nothing! No boxes of tile, vinyl or sheets of paneling! So we improvised. Dug out a picture we have had in every home we've owned and had taken it to the cabin as we were tired of it. Guess what...It fit perfectly behind the stove. Looks kinda like a view of Big Bear Lake...doesn't it???

Casa

I was working in the butterfly garden at the Casa when I saw this Monarch emerged and still hanging on to the chrysalis, waiting for it's wings to dry. The next photo shows it in relationship to the garden. It is so fun! There is something new happening every day I am there.
